Can I call my agent to inquire about a claim before reporting the claim?
Please call your insurance agent for advice regarding the loss ASAP. If he or she is unavailable, leave a message or send an email and your call will be returned within 24 hours. We strongly advise to notify your agent about any possible losses to your auto and/or home. Your agent will be able to provide claims processing information and the possible impact on your loss history report, if the claim is filed.
Will My Claim Be Covered?
We can’t answer this question without knowing some key facts. What coverages and limits did you purchase? What caused the damage or loss, and what property was damaged? Each loss is considered based on the unique facts of that loss. Simply call your agent to review your policy coverages.
Who can report a claim?
If you are 18+ and listed on the insurance policy or you have been involved in a collision with a policyholder, you can report your claim.
Where do I find the policy number?
It’s listed on your Auto ID Cards, policy declaration page, and billing statement.
How will a claim affect a policy?
Reporting a claim doesn’t mean your rate will immediately change. Your agent will contact you and let you know 30 days before your policy renews.
